Patsy Or Hedy?

It's easy for the casual reader to get the impression that the Patsy & Hedy dynamic is a simple case of good girl vs. bad girl, and I can't fault them for that. In most instances, Patsy is a goody two-shoes while Hedy is a rhymes-with-stitch. The best years of the series (the Morris Weiss period) gave them both more complex personalities.
Which brings us to these two stories, where Patsy and Hedy are both faced with a similar situation, but with somewhat different results.
First up is Patsy's dilemma:
