BLONDIE (created by Chic Young) has been a staple of American newspaper comics since it first appeared in 1930. The height of it's popularity spanned almost three decades, during which time it spawned radio, film, and television adaptions. Although not quite as popular now, it still has a very large following and is one of the most highly syndicated strips worldwide.
