Sunday Funnies: HI AND LOIS

HI AND LOIS, originally done by Mort Walker and Dik Browne, started in 1954 as a spinoff from Walker's BEETLE BAILEY strip. Although it's never been incredibly popular, it does have it's own set of fans, and was adapted into the comic book format twice, by DELL and CHARLTON.

It's often hard to discern what gives a strip such long lasting appeal, but if I had to guess, I'd say it would be because of situations like this one. While it's not the type of humor that makes you fall on the floor laughing, there's a cutesy appeal to the way Trixie misunderstands the way the world is:
